Skully
12″x24″ acrylic on canvas, mounted on wood. This piece was a challenge. I was only allowed to use 3 colors; black, white and red. I used two types of black, paynes grey and mars black. Paynes has a bluish tone so I could mix it with red and get purple tones. The mars black has a warm, brown tone. Mixing that with red and white I could get different shades of brown.
This piece will be showing at a new gallery on July 14th in downtown LA called 423 Gallery. It’s at 423 W. Venice Blvd…pretty close to Staples Center.
